HR Manager
The HR Manager will work closely with the Head of HR and Talent and Development Manager, leading on a broad portfolio of people initiatives, influencing decision-making across the organisation and helping shape the future direction of our people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Head of HR to manage employee relations matters, providing pragmatic advice and support to managers across the organisation and managing complex cases through to resolution.
Manage the organisation's approach to consultants and Associate Fellows (auxiliary workforce), ensuring compliant and efficient processes.
Build trusted relationships with managers and employees, providing credible HR advice, coaching and constructive challenge to support effective people management.
Lead the HR contribution to payroll, overseeing the HR Operations Officer in delivering an accurate and timely monthly process in partnership with Finance.
Produce and analyse people data and employee feedback, including the engagement survey, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making, workforce planning and continuous improvement.
Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, best practice and organisational priorities.
Work with the Head of HR and Talent & Development Manager to deliver People Strategy priorities, leading agreed projects and supporting organisational change initiatives as required.
Champion equity, diversity and inclusion across HR practices and the employee lifecycle.
Build effective relationships with employee representatives, recognised trade unions and key stakeholders, supporting positive employee relations and partnership working.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and employee experience, while supporting the wider HR team as required.
Person Specification
Essential Experience
HR generalist experience across the employee lifecycle.
Experience managing employee relations cases independently from start to finish.
Experience of end to end management of redundancies.
Experience advising and coaching managers on people matters.
Experience contributing to HR projects, change initiatives or process improvements.
Experience using HR data and insight to support recommendations and decision-making.
