Programme Coordinator - Europe, Russia and Americas
This is an exiting opportunity to work closely with colleagues across a range of research programmes including US and North America; Latin America; UK in the World; and, Europe and Russia.

The Programme Coordinator will play a key role in supporting an exciting schedule of activities and outputs by providing coordination across events, publications, research projects and proposals.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Europe, Russia and Americas department, and will work closely with colleagues across a range of research programmes (US and North America; Latin America; UK in the World; and, Europe and Russia).
We are recruiting two Programme Coordinators: one permanent position and one 6-month fixed-term contract.

Principal Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Research Operations (Europe, Russia and Americas Department), you will:
Delivery
- Deliver on administrative processes, including but not limited to the general maintenance of office systems, files and records; administration of CRM database and maintaining data in compliance with Chatham House and external processes; support the administration of Associate Fellowships and Consultancies as necessary; maintenance and upkeep of submission logs; accurate financial record keeping.
- Publications and communications: assist in the coordination and production of research publications and maintain records; collate outputs for newsletters and other communication materials; promote programme outputs, including publications, digital outputs and events; collate outputs and key messages for communication and dissemination, support with managing social media channels; assist in maintaining website pages remain current and accurate.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of events, including coordinating attendance, travel and accommodation (where necessary), room bookings, and provide other logistical support as needed.
People
- Collaborate with colleagues, funders and partners to ensure effective coordination and communication of plans, progress, and outcomes.
- Ensure timely internal communications on activities and news amongst staff, consultants, Associate Fellows and key stakeholders.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues and create a positive working culture, ensuring good practice is shared and embodying the institute's high-quality standards.
- Adhere to the Institute's and any contractual requirements in relation to the administration and delivery of tasks.
- Provide direct support to the Head of Research Operations and Programme Managers.
Strategy
- Support programme and institute-wide initiatives to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of activities.
- Identify and share opportunities for improved efficiencies and processes.
- Contribute to the delivery of Chatham House’s EDI strategy.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
- Outstanding administration, coordination and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to work under tight timeframes whilst balancing various tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in coordinating and delivering high-quality events, including events in person, online and hybrid.
- Experience in writing copy for different audiences and purposes, including social media channels and promotion materials.
- A collaborative approach, able to form positive working relationships with people at all levels, internally and externally.
- Good IT skills and familiarity with Office 365 suite (inc. MS Teams, Word and Outlook).
- Good command of Excel.
Desirable
- Experience working with databases/CRM software.
- Experience with budgeting and budget handling.
- Experience working in a similar organisation.
- Good general knowledge of global affairs and international relations.

Salary: £32,500 per year.

Location: St James's Square, London. Chatham House operates a hybrid working environment, with staff expected to attend our stunning building typically two days a week.
